Locomotion
Tiger shark body shape is designed for speed that minimize both resistance and drag. As a shark swims it moves its body from side to side creating and "S like curve". The dorsal fin is used as a pivot point to propel the shark through the water. The pectoral and pelvic fins help with buoyancy to keep the shark afloat. Sharks can adjust these fins slightly to either ascend and descend.
